Our bacon is stuff of legends amongst our SaltPig fanbase. We dedicate all our production to the best kind - Smoked Streaky!

Like many of our products, we smoke it gently over applewood then age it in our salami chambers to drive off the moisture and intensify the flavour. This process turns a top quality belly into a remarkable bacon. You'll see when you cook it how easily it crisps and colours as there is absolutely no water to drive off first.

Make sure you save the lovely bacon fat from the pan to either dip the bread in for your BLT, or cook some green veg in for your Sunday roast... it's the best!!!

Ingredients

Rare breed pork (115g used per 100g of finished product), sea salt, muscovado sugar, freshly ground black pepper, bay, preservative: sodium nitrite, antioxidant: ascorbic acid.

Storage Instructions

Our Smoked Streaky Bacon is cured and semi dried so is able to withstand ambient temperatures for long periods. We recommend however refrigerating upon receipt to ensure its full shelf life. Suitable for home freezing.
